Over 3 years at NBrown, we have transformed the business through new systems and people led change. Creating a new digital first Organisation, moving from fixed to flexible and agile, and allowing for cost savings to be re-invested in new skills, abilities and attributes. Fewer better people with bigger opportunities and colleagues programmes that befitted the new digital,online proposition. Moving from a catalogue business to multi-channel, but truly - Digital first. Our strategy of “Getting the best”, “ Growing the best” and “Keeping the best” meant significant cultural change led by the reshaping of our Values - we certainly did it with GUSTO and the launch of the NBrown Rocket – our strategy to become the destination solution for fashion that fits and flatters. A culture of innovative customer led improvements, where change would be the only constant. Creating and shaping the platform for NBrown as "the" digital place to work in fashion retail in the North west. In doing digital for our customer we had to be digital for our colleagues and the transformation changed every aspect of the colleague offer as we digitalised the colleague processes from how we recruitment, to on-boarding, performance and talent management and by creating a truly digital colleague experience through new digital communications and recognition schemes aligned to the values. Finally we made workspace and environment changes that contemporised and modernised the work place.
